Good morning,
This week, my thoughts take me back to some enlightening meetings in New York. I had the pleasure of talking with remarkable people like Rabbi Irwin Kula, Kunal Sood, and the great portrait photographer Beowulf Sheehan, among others. The warmth and friendliness of the conversations stands in stark contrast to the creeping inability of people to talk to one another because they hold different points of views. Increasingly, mere differences of opinion are leading to outright cancellations and rifts. It’s truly heart-wrenching to see such divisiveness.
Even as I grapple with jetlag, my mind is already turning toward the next European trip in November. The main reason for that is to attend the Drucker Forum conference. I’m thrilled to share that I'll be moderating a panel on personal resilience. During this week, I had the privilege of interviewing two of our panelists — the incredible ice-climber, Thomas Bubendorfer, and Asheesh Advani, CEO of Junior Achievement.
I’ve condensed some of the gems from all these conversations into a short audio file. In 15 minutes you will hear some of the key insights I gleaned, plus the kinds of things I am now thinking about.
Many of you have taken a moment to share how much these musings mean to you. Your words give me encouragement and I am truly grateful.
Enjoy your weekend, the week ahead, and enjoy the listening:
