to help you
stay human
I write Humanise for those who want to know what it is to be human in an increasingly unstable world. Often what I write is my own attempt to understand.
For more than two decades I’ve worked with leaders at the highest levels—CEOs, entrepreneurs, emerging leaders—helping them navigate uncertainty, focus on what truly matters, and build organisations that serve people rather than systems. I’ve written a book, Humanise: Why Human-Centred Leadership Is the Key to the 21st Century, completed a PhD in leadership, and spent years in conversation with thinkers, artists and executives who share a single question: how can I be the best person I can be, in the face of conflicting demands, and a world falling apart?
Here you’ll find essays that weave philosophy, history, faith, and lived experience into reflections on meaning, morality, beauty, and belonging. Some draw on my research into leadership and the metacrisis; others are personal meditations on attention, loss, love, and the courage to begin again. You will find a relentless hope for a new renaissance, and an unshakeable confidence in beauty, truth and goodness to alter the trajectory of humanity.
To begin, you might enjoy:
I believe renewal begins with you and with me. Each time you show more attention, kindness, or courage, you bring a little more light into the world.
If your question is not “How can I gain more?” but “How can I become more?”—more real, more whole, more human—this space is for you.
You can read, reflect, or reach out. Some stay for the essays; others join me in small retreats or one-to-one conversations when they reach their moment. However you arrive, I’m glad you’re here.
